EE 66 - Idea Lab - 30 Day Challenge
The 30 Day Idea Challenge
I am challenging you to come up with a business idea every day for the month of September.
30 Days, 30 Ideas. It can be an idea for a new business or a way to improve your current business.
The only way to get better at anything is practice. This month, we are going to sharpen our creative brains and start generating ideas.
Share your ideas with me online via LinkedIn, Twitter, email or Instagram. I will pick an overall winner at the end of the month to be featured on the podcast. The winner will also receive 1-1 call with me to help turn their idea into reality and also a customised Entrepreneur Experiment Idea Lab notebook.
Plus, if they take action and start a business based on their idea, I’ll give it free advertising on the podcast!
I’ll do the challenge with you and share on my social media, so connect with me to see my ideas.
The Idea Notebook
If you feel overwhelmed about trying to come up with an idea, there is a simple solution. Buy a small notebook, and write down one business idea every single day for 30 days. This was the single most important step when launching my business.
Starting a business, just like anything else worth doing, is hard. By working on it each day, it becomes easier and easier. This is also the best way to decide what idea really sticks with you. You will find yourself going back to the best idea, adding little notes and refining the idea.
All you need is a blank notebook and the template below.
The 1-Page Idea Template
The format for my ideas book is below. On a single page, break down the following.
Date and location
Business Idea — One/two sentences max
How it will make money
Next steps — How could I test this idea or research more in the next 30 days
Think small. Plan how you can launch this yourself without the need for massive amounts of funding or building a huge team. How can you test this idea and validate it?

This Week
Listening
The Billionaire Boys Club from Wondery. It’s a true crime/business podcast that I discovered this week. I’m not fully sold on it but it’s promising.
Watching
I’m really looking forward to the Amazon Prime “All Or Nothing” behind the scenes show following Tottenham’s season. It comes out August 31st. In the meantime, I watched the same series on the All Blacks rugby.
Reading
The Moonflower Murders by Anthony Horowitz. He is an incredibly talented writer and his books are clever murder mysteries. Easy reading if you want to switch off.
The podcast goes live at 5 am every Monday and Thursday.
